    Hello,
I see that you have not mentioned having cataloged any churches in Essex yet. Will you be visiting there in the near future?

Dear Mr Newham, I have found your website and it is a wonderful labour of love and a great resource to all who love church architecture.

I am leading a study day on John Piper’s glass at Coventry Cathedral next week and I wondered if i might have permission to use the image you took of the Salisbury Cathedral glass you photographed at Grately, Hampshire for the lecture. Piper visited the church in 1929 and painted a copy of this window. According to Piper, it was this window, its colour and design which set off his interest in stained glass. It would make the ideal starting point for the lecture.

I was the Senior Chaplain of Oundle School 1997-2011 and has the joy of Piper’s first glass. Should you wish to see and photography the chapel and the glass let me know. With best wishes

    Ian Browne
